Our First Aid for Activities course will consist of the following:
2 days of guided learning hours (6 hours each day)
Day 1 theory and practical assessments cover the following topics
Roles and Responsibilities of a First Aider
Relevant health and safety regulations
Assessing an emergency situation safely
Prioritise of care
Managing an unresponsive casualty (Breathing)
Managing an unresponsive casualty (Not Breathing)
Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation - CPR (Children and Adults)
Automated External Defibrillator – AED
Day 2 theory and practical assessments cover the following topics
Conducting a Secondary Survey
Sprains, Strains and Fractures
Head Injuries (includes seizures)
Chest and Abdominal Injuries
Burns
Eye Injuries
Poisoning
Major Illness
Anaphylaxis
Extreme Temperatures
Your primary sport – Recognising Injuries and Symptoms (bespoke FREE bolt-on)
Instructor-led observation for all practical assessments
Closed book Assessment Exam

CERTIFICATION
On completion of the course learners will receive their Level 2 - First Aid for Activities Certificate via email.
Your certificate will be valid for a period of 3-Years from the date of approval and will comply with HSE Regulations ‘Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981
